OUR MISSION
Pink Iceland strives to be the country’s foremost travel agent, tour operator, event and wedding planner for LGBTQI travelers. Our goal is to always offer an exemplary service, treating our guests with the utmost respect while offering a good quality product.
Pink Iceland has clear policies regarding its responsibilities to environmental and humanitarian issues. These are reflected in the services on offer and the general attitude of the company’s owners and staff.
Pink Iceland is, and will remain a beautiful, vibrant, fun and caring place of work where both owners and staff ambitiously work towards offering outstanding services to its guests
HONESTY POLICY
Pink Iceland is a privately owned company and as such it needs to make a profit. This profit pays the salaries of its staff, the rent, the wonderful and informative Pink Iceland website not to mention copious amounts of coffee for the owners. Most of Pink Iceland's money is made through commissions. This is how it works: If our guests let us book their tours, activities, and accommodation we collect a small (usually 10-15%) commission of the price. This basically means that you pay the same price, regardless of whether you book directly - or through us. You may think this might cause us to recommend really expensive accommodation and tours. Not so. We promise to do our utmost to come up with a plan that suits you, and your budget. We would never recommend anything without full confidence and/or personal experience of what's on offer. Our primary goal is working with and for the LGBTQI community and without the community's support or goodwill we wouldn't have lasted six months in the business. It is not least through word of mouth that we grow stronger every day. Our hope is that after reading this you too will ask for our recommendations and advice and/or book your holiday through us.
HUMAN RIGHTS
Pink Iceland is founded on the belief that more can be done to welcome LGBTQI visitors to Iceland. We strive to to offer the best available services to our guests, working with suppliers who respect and adhere to human and civil rights.
We at Pink Iceland have committed ourselves to contributing to LGBTQI communities around the world in whatever way we can. This has been done with monetary donations, education about what we've achieved in this country and how we went about it and through on-going volunteer work for Samtökin'78 the national LGBTQI organization in Iceland as well as Reykjavik Pride Week where we offer our time and expertise for various events and causes. We constantly revise our policies, processes and activities and actively work towards implementing these. Our human rights commitments may often go unnoticed but when applicable we update our audience about the work we undertake through our social media outlets and website.

Dates for 2018 are August 11th to 18th.
Here are some things you can expect to enjoy on our 2019 trip!
REYKJAVIK
The first day is spent in Reykjavik, starting with a group meeting followed by a city walk, ending in an optional group dinner. Following dinner we head to a popular lounge bar for a welcome reception with locals.
SNORKLING BETWEEN TECTONIC PLATES AND LAVA CAVING
Approx 45 minutes from Reykjavík you will find Thingvellir national park where we will go snorkling in the world famous Silfra fissure. The water runs through an underground system directly from Langjokull glacier making the water as cold as ice! We will be suited up in full dry suits to explore this amazing clear water, so fresh that you can actually have a sip whilst floating on the water. After lunch we will explore one of the hundred lava tunnels in the area called Gjabakkahellir. It takes you through a 2000 year old lava tube that has almost remained the same since gushing lava pushed it's way through older land. Dinner will be at our beautiful country hotel
THE BREATHTAKING SOUTH SHORE AND WATERFALLS
We will enjoy a late morning before exploring the beautiful sites of the South Shore. We will start at the iconic Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss waterfalls as well as the captivating basalt rock formations of Reynisfjara and Reynisdrangar.
MYRDALSJOKULL GLACIER HIKE & SUPER JEEP ADVENTURE
We depart our hotel in custom made super jeeps and venture on to one of Iceland's biggest glacier, home of the world famous Eyjafjallajokull that erupted in 2010 causing cancellations of air traffic throughout Europe and N-America. We will then get a lesson on how to walk on ice before going onto the Myrdalsjokull Glacier to experience one of the most popular activities in Iceland; Glacier Hiking.
BLUE LAGOON & REYKJAVIK GAY PRIDE EVENT
Your adventure becomes even more exciting when we head to the Blue Lagoon where we join other gay and lesbian travellers for a dip in the geothermal pool. Enjoy a drink and get to know some of the new guests before we head to our design hotel in Reykjavik which will serve as our base for the next few nights. The opening event of Pride will take place this evening and will be attended my hundreds of locals and travelers alike. Tickets to the opening ceremony are sold seperately, please make sure you tell your guide if you want a ticket at the start of the tour.
GOLDEN CIRCLE & LAUGARVATN FONTANA SPA
Today we will join a larger gay and lesbian group to experience Gullfoss waterfall, the world-famous Geysir & Þingvellir national park where you can see the Great Atlantic Rift. Following this we head to the Fontana Steam Baths where you will have a chance to enjoy three geothermally heated baths, a sauna, a warm sand beach and access to the pristine waters of Lake Laugarvatn. If you have energy after today we have an optional dinner after which you can attend some of the Pride events.
