The kind and incredible D&S got married in the beautiful Hotel Budir on the Snæfellsnes peninsula in Iceland.
The couple traveled to Iceland with a group of family & friends mostly from the US. After a short stay in Reykjavik they rented a bus and the wedding group headed on an adventure. They had booked Hotel Budir privately for their wedding for 2 nights and wanted to sightsee on the way up to Búðir. They picked the ever so gorgeous and famous Golden Circle tour for the day before the wedding. The bus was loaded in Reykjavik City centre and headed towards Thingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area & Gullfoss waterfall & then the group would end the day in the Snæfellsnes peninsula at Hotel Budir.
When they arrived at Hotel Budir guests checked into their rooms, put on another layer as it was time for a bonfire on the beach. The perfect way to welcome everyone to the peninsula and to the official wedding hotel. The day after was the wedding day and boy was it dramatic, stormy weather so their wedding planner Eva María had to think quick and they decided together to move the ceremony into Hotel Budir. Candles were lit, furnitures moved and the lobby looked magical and ready for the wedding ceremony. Bjarni an officiant from Siðmennt, the Humanist association of Iceland performed their ceremony.
The grooms and guests went for an adventurous tour of the Snæfellsnes peninsula for sightseeing and Iceland Wedding photos. Kristín María was their Iceland Wedding photographer. The Wedding reception was in the beautiful dining space in Hotel Busir and then they partied into the night at the hotel.
